Motorist killed in Comal County head-on collision By Sarah Mills Published: 12:00 a.m., Sunday, December 5, 2010: A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision Saturday evening in Comal County. Anthony Cortez, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene on FM 2673 at 6:40 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Cortez, of Canyon Lake, was driving a Harley Davidson when he was hit by a 2008 Honda Accord driven by Diana Handby, 47. Handby, also from Canyon Lake, swerved into the northbound lane and struck Cortez, who was wearing a helmet, according to DPS.
Handby suferred unknown injuries and was taken to University Hospital, according to DPS. Tony was a member of www.HillCountryRoadRunners.org. I did not know Tony well. He was someone I saw around the Lake at events. But I was saddened to hear of his untimely death. I explicitly remembered taking the photograph of his colors because I remember thinking at the time that I
should holler at him to turn around, but I got distracted too quickly
("I'll catch him later"). I do not know of any other photos I have of
him, so if you find any, please let me know..Thank you Scott "Cuzzin It" Mozisek for this article.

TIME- Wise words from Tony
WE SEEM TO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME LIKE IT’S FOR-EVER! TRADING OUR SOULS FOR FOOLISH GOLD OR SILVER ENDEAVORS WITH SOME CONCEPT OF OUR EXISTENCE WE IGNORE OUR PAST! EMPIRES HAVE COME AND GONE WITH THEIR ARMY'S, BUT NOT BEFORE THE HORRIFIC WRATH THEY IMPOSED ON THE VILLAGER’S HEARTS. THE GREED IN MAN CONTINUES STRONGLY EVEN TODAY, IT’S SEEN WORLDLY THROUGH STARVING EYES OF THE OPPRESSED. I AM BUT A GRAIN OF SAND IN AN ENDLESS OCEAN OF HIDDEN AND JUSTIFIED CHAOS, I HAVE VERY LITTLE IMPACT ALTHOUGH CONTINUE TO TRY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! IT TOOK A LOT OF PRECIOUS TIME FOR ME TO REALLY SEE THROUGH THE FOG, OR THE SOCIOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF HUMANITY AS IT IS TODAY! GOING DOWN. WE ALL HAVE AN ENDLESS CAPACITY FOR GOOD AND EVIL AND THAT’S THE INTERNAL STRUGGLE WITHIN MAN BE THANKFUL WE DON’T GET WHAT WE REALLY DESERVE! PICK YOUR BATTLES- SMALL ENOUGH TO WIN AND LARGE ENOUGH TO MATTER._ANTHONY CORTEZ
